This summer, from June 9th to August 25th, Sunday Morning Adult Bible Studies will combine to walk through Francis Chan’s study - Letter to the Church. This study will complement Pastor Eric’s sermon series “Building the Church” and will help create discussion and dig deeper into the Christ’s desire for the Church. This time together will be lead by a different teacher each week and is designed to encourage interaction with adults who may not be in your “regular” Sunday Morning group or weekly Bible study.
Using Lifeway’s Bible Studies for Life curriculum, we will cover two units: “Welcome Home” where we will examine what it means to show Biblical hospitality to our neighbors, followed by “How to Pray” where we will study the Lord’s prayer and discover ways to grow in our own prayer life.
Classes: 7th/8th, 9th/10th, 11th/12th
Led by Nathan and shana Corday. We will be exploring the Book of James using a study by Francis Chan. The book of James speaks to the realities of a living faith in Jesus - the kind of roll-up-you-sleeves and get-your-hands-dirty discipleship that is borne out of an authentic relationship with the risen Lord. James writes to believers who know suffer, who’ve faced trials, and who ultimately desire a deep relationship with God.
Led by Jim Hempstead this group focuses on the study of prayer using primarily Richard Foster’s book along with other materials.
Judy Camarella will be leading a study of the Passover.
Led by Greg Young and Bob Forcht. This class will be reading the book of Revelation and exploring how it is relevant to the challenges Christians face today.
Led by Greg Giddens and Clint Hunt. The Minor Prophets cover 450 years and offer a revealing look into the character, nature and heart of God. Our study will explore how God’s plans and purpose intersect in the lives of His people as evidenced in the Minor Prophets.
Conference Room 2
We spend much of Advent reading prophecy from Isaiah about the hope found in the coming Savior. Isaiah has much more to say to Israel and us as well. Here we’ll see how the prophet raises a cry for e-cigarette in the midst of a rotting society and find comfort in troubled times.
