What time are your Sunday services?
Sunday worship begins at 11:00 AM, and Bible study classes for all ages start earlier at 9:45 AM. You’re welcome to join us for either or both.
Where is South Run Baptist Church located?
We’re at 8712 Selger Drive, Springfield, VA 22153, in the heart of the West Springfield and Burke area — a short drive from West Springfield High School and right around the corner from the South Run Rec Center. Whether you’re coming from Saratoga, Newington Forest, or Orange Hunt, you’ll find us tucked into a quiet, welcoming neighborhood.
I’ve never been to South Run before. What should I expect?
Expect a warm welcome and a service filled with Scripture, prayer, and a practical message rooted in the Bible. Our worship style is a bridge between the ancient and the modern — you’ll hear songs you recognize from the radio alongside classic hymns. We value tradition as a guide, so we may recite the Lord’s Prayer together and observe the yearly rhythms of Advent and Lent, always with the goal of making the eternal truths of Christ relevant today.
What should I wear?
Come as you are. Shorts, a polo, a nice dress shirt, your Sunday best — all of the above are welcome. We aren’t worried about what you wear, and we don’t want you to be either. We’re just excited to meet you.
Is childcare or a nursery available?
Yes. Our nursery is available all morning for little ones ages 3 and under, so parents can settle in and worship with peace of mind.
What is there for my kids during the service?
Faith at South Run is a family journey. At 9:45 AM, while adults are in Bible study, children learn about God’s love in age-specific classrooms through hands-on activities and teaching. At 11:00 AM, worship is intergenerational, and we have a special “Children’s Message” where kids are invited forward to participate directly.
Do you have ministries for youth, women, and men?
Yes. We have active ministries for children, youth, women, and men, along with fellowship and outreach opportunities throughout the week. You can explore each of these under our Ministries menu to find where you or your family might connect.
What does South Run believe?
We are committed to helping all people know and understand the life-changing power of Jesus Christ. Our approach: in essentials, unity; in non-essentials, diversity; in all things, love. Can I watch services online?
Yes. If you can’t join us in person, you’re welcome to worship with us online through our Live Stream page.
How can I give?
South Run uses a secure online giving platform, available through our Give Online links and also via a mobile app for iOS and Android. Giving online lowers bank fees so that more of your contribution goes directly to its intended purpose.
