Our guest speaker, ulia (Wallace) Butler, is a current missionary in Beirut, Lebanon. She and her husband, Michael, are volunteers supported through BGAV Venturer program, and work with the LSESD (Lebanese Society for Educational and Social Development) - a faith-based non-profit that seeks to equip the local church and serve the community. Julia helps with grants and project management while Michael will be teaching English, Bible and Philosophy at their K-12 Christian School. Julia considers South Run one of her church homes and served as summer intern for 2 years (2015 and 2016).
