The End

Passage: Revelation 21-22
Service Type:

In this final sermon of our series, The Story of the Bible, we look forward to the future hope of the redeemed world. Exploring how the book of Revelation uses the themes of Eden, Kingdom, and Exile, we return to these themes as they are woven through the entirety of Scripture. They find their climax and conclusion in the vision of Revelation’s New Jerusalem.  With a little help from C. S. Lewis’ “The Weight of Glory,” we discuss the practical implications of our heavenward trajectory: “There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations—these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat.”
