    Ministries

South Run offers opportunities for all ages to immerse themselves in the church community through a number of ministries.

  • In Acts 2:42-47, Luke records that the believers joined together in “Koinonia” to grow in their faith and to live out the mission Jesus left for them. KGroups are the place for us to do the same — where we experience authentic community and learn to grow as disciples of Jesus through intentional investment in each other’s lives and by reaching out to others.

K-Groups start at 9:45 am on Sunday morning every week. Just like most churches have Sunday School, we have KGroups for people of every age and season of life. In every KGroup, we encounter God, invest in each other’s lives and dream together about ways to love God in Northern Virginia and to the ends of the earth. KGroups serve as the primary mode of discipleship at South Run and as the avenue in which we provide pastoral care to one another.

  • The Children’s ministry is committed to teaching children the Gospel of Jesus Christ by offering fun and meaningful activities through the year. Our philosophy is that church should be a fun, loving, safe place for kids to come and learn about Jesus. Our classrooms are equipped with games, crafts, videos, music, books, and toys that all are used to help our children learn biblical truths. In addition to our weekly activities, we also offer special events during the year for our families to enjoy together. A safe environment is foundational for the discipleship of children. We want you to feel at ease as you entrust your children to our caring workers. All our volunteers are thoroughly screened to ensure that your child has a safe environment to learn and play. We want all children here to feel loved in the same way that Jesus first loved us.

  • Our focus is to teach and equip middle- and high-school students so they can develop and grow in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. In following Christ, their lives are changed and they are driven to invite others to encounter Christ so they may know, believe and understand the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.
